Spiritual Care

Tennova Healthcare’s comprehensive care addresses physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of those we serve, so chaplains are a valuable member of our multidisciplinary care team. Chaplains are available to assist people of all faiths at any of our hospital locations. Simply ask any staff member to contact a chaplain for you — they are available to assist you 24 hours a day, every day.

Because we are a faith-based organization, our spiritual care staff are actively involved in the care we provide, so you may receive a routine visit from one of our chaplains. We respect the religious traditions and practices of all faiths, and are committed to supporting you. Our chaplains are available to:

  • Visit with patients and family members – We can provide comfort and support for patients and families. Whether you need someone to listen, offer advice or encouragement, or join you in prayer, we can help.
  • Offer assistance and resources – Our chaplains can provide devotional materials and help with advance directives and other difficult matters.
  • Coordinate with your clergy – If you would like to have someone from your faith tradition visit you or a family member in the hospital, we are available to help arrange it.

Whether you are anxious about your own or a loved one’s health, need help sorting through your feelings, or have lost someone close to you, our chaplains are available to help.
