Childbirth Education Programs

Preparing you for parenthood

The birth of a baby is an exciting and life-changing experience. At Tennova Healthcare, we are committed to helping you during this special time through quality maternity care, and special programs and support. Our family-centered approach helps you understand as much as possible about the physical and emotional changes that occur during pregnancy, birth, and parenthood.

Our educational program is designed to provide comprehensive and practical instruction for expectant mothers and their families. Classes are led by registered nurses and often feature guest speakers who are experts in their field. All classes allow time for discussion and interaction.

Women can also take advantage of special pre- and post-partum fitness classes to help reduce stress and improve health during pregnancy, as well as regain fitness after the baby’s birth. For more information, call Tennova Health & Fitness Center at (865) 859-7900.

The labor support partner is strongly encouraged to attend.
