Personal Training
Personalized, one-on-one attention
Why should you work with a trainer? Studies have shown that working with a trainer on a regular basis (two or more times a week) can offer results faster than exercising on your own. A personal trainer can help develop a safe, effective program to help you reach your specific goals — whether it’s losing weight, training for a particular sport, or regaining fitness after illness or injury.
Tennova Health & Fitness Center’s nationally certified personal trainers offer expert training instruction, education, and motivation to help you reach your fitness goals, and provide valuable advice to help prevent injury. You choose how often or when you work with a trainer, whether it’s a single session or an ongoing relationship. We offer one-on-one training or buddy sessions for you and a friend, as well as group sessions throughout the year.
Group training sessions
Small-group training is a great way to get individual attention at a great discount. You’ll meet others who are focused on similar goals and benefit from the camaraderie and motivation that group exercise offers. Group programs include:
- Training for Life – A 12-week weight management program that helps you adopt exercise and nutritional habits that lead to long-term lifestyle changes. This is not a short-term fix, but a way of life. The program includes 32 group training sessions and eight sessions of nutrition education. The program is offered in January and August. For more information, download the Training for Life FAQs.
- Bootcamp – Led by our very own “drill sergeants,” this program incorporates workouts using real army boot camp exercises. Perform high-calorie burning drills, calisthenics, strengthening exercises, and stretches to challenge even the fittest. Choose from three- or five-day-per-week programs, and be prepared to brave all weather conditions and orders.
