Cancer support services just for women
An important part of Tennova Cancer Centers’ comprehensive care is to address the emotional and spiritual needs of our patients, so we offer a full range of support services, including nutrition and fitness counseling, support groups and more. Tennova Cancer Centers provide some special services just for women, including:
- Specialty boutiques – Find wigs, turbans, scarves, bras, prostheses, clothes, bathing suits, and more at the specialty boutiques at every Tennova Home Medical location. Our experienced mastectomy fitter is available to help you look and feel your best. For more information, call (865) 573-0777.
- Look Good...Feel Better program – This American Cancer Society-sponsored program brings in local beauty consultants to share beauty techniques with women who are undergoing cancer treatment. Learn how to enhance your appearance with scarves, turbans and wigs, and learn about proper skin and nail care. Each participant receives a complimentary cosmetic kit.
Women’s support groups and classes – Check the Tennova events calendar for an upcoming breast cancer support group or educational seminar.
