Dr. Christopher Cummins and Dr. R. Louis Murphy Join Tennova's Medical Staff

Family medicine physicians specialize in comprehensive care for children, teens and adults

HUMBOLDT, TN (October 10, 2016) – Tennova Healthcare welcomes, Christopher Cummins, M.D. and R. Louis Murphy, M.D. to the medical staff. The family medicine physicians are seeing patients at their medical practice at Tennova Family Practice-Humboldt, and will offer same-day appointments. Dr. Christopher Cummins is board eligible in family medicine and sees patients at Tennova Family Practice –Humboldt. Dr. Cummins is also a member of the medical staff at Tennova Healthcare -Regional Jackson.

Dr. Cummins is accepting new patients at Tennova Family Practice-Humboldt, located at 3535 Chere Carol Rd., Humboldt. Dr. Murphy is continuing to see patients at the clinic as well. Dr. Cummins and Murphy provide comprehensive care for men, women, and children. They offer annual exams, sick visits, school and sports physicals, and minor skin procedures. The clinic is also able to perform limited diagnostic testing including x-ray, EKG and bone density.

Dr. Cummins is board certified in medical technology and board eligible in family medicine. He is also specially trained to offer support for minor skin problems and detecting skin cancers; walk-ins are welcome.

Dr. Cummins earned his medical degree from Saba University School of Medicine with clinical rotations at the University of Mississippi and Louisiana State University. He is an alumnus of the medical center at the University of Mississippi and he completed his residency at East Tennessee State University.
